inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Director of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog), Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, is committed to opening warehouses as widely as possible to the public, including universities, as a means of education about the management of the Government's Rice Reserves.

"Bulog's warehouses are open as an educational tool so the public can see for themselves that the national rice stock is well maintained. The full condition of warehouses like the one in Sunter is also a reflection of Bulog's warehouses in various regions," explained Rizal on Tuesday (6/30/2026).

He personally led the reception for students from various faculties at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) at the Bulog Sunter Warehouse in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Monday (6/29/2026).

The visit was part of Bulog's efforts to provide educational opportunities for academics regarding the management of the Government's Rice Reserves (CBP) as a strategic instrument in maintaining national food security.

During the visit, the students received an explanation of rice storage management in Bulog's warehouses, from the receiving process and quality control to the storage system that ensures rice quality is maintained.

The group was also invited to visit Bulog's Rice Processing Center (SPB) to observe firsthand the rice processing process, from cleaning, polishing, and packaging to producing ready-to-eat rice products that meet quality standards.

Rizal stated that the introduction to the Rice Processing Center is expected to provide students with an understanding of the importance of Bulog's downstream food processing process.

In addition, Bulog also opens opportunities for collaboration with universities through research, technology development, and innovation in the food sector to support strengthening national food security.
