Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police  have confirmed that all vehicles entering the Transjakarta busway lane are subject to electronic ticketing (ETLE), regardless of type or size.

"It’s the same as other violations, including small motorcycles that often enter the busway, they are already subject to ETLE," said Metro Jaya Police Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Komarudin on Thursday (7/8/2025), responding to a viral video showing 14 Harley-Davidson motorcycles riding in the West Jakarta busway lane.

He stressed there is no distinction between large or small motorcycles, cars, or any other vehicles as  all will be fined if they use the busway. Chief Komarduin added that all vehicle data is recorded by the Traffic Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate, according to antaranews.com.

Under Law No. 22 of 2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation, offenders face up to two months in prison or a maximum fine of Rp 500,000.
