Inp.polri.go.id - East Manggarai. The Central Java Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) unit deployed a specialized mobile water treatment truck to supply clean drinking water for earthquake evacuees in Ronting Village, North Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday (23/8/2026).
The water purification vehicle provides ready-to-drink water directly at evacuation shelters, eliminating the need for displaced residents to travel long distances for clean water.
"Clean drinking water is a fundamental daily necessity," said East Nusa Tenggara Police Acting Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Sajimin. "When communities face severe water shortages following a natural disaster, the Indonesian National POlice must step in with immediate solutions."
Brimob officers assisted residents in filling containers and managed distribution at the shelter site. Chief Sajimin confirmed that cross-regional support units will remain stationed in East Nusa Tenggara to deliver integrated humanitarian services, including medical assistance, logistics distribution, and psychological trauma healing.
