Inp.polri.go.id - Central Java. The Central Java Regional Police Food Task Force and the Central Java administration monitored subsidized fertilizer availability in Semarang, inspecting five retail locations.
"We are ensuring there's no shortage of fertilizer when our farmers need it. After checking five stores in Semarang, we found no shortages, the stock is well-supplied," said Police Senior Superintendent Dwi Subagio, the Head of the Central Java Regional Police Food Task Force, on Friday (26/1/2024).
The purchasing process for subsidized fertilizer at distributor stores has been streamlined for farmers, requiring only their ID cards, facilitating public access.
Sucahyo, the Head of Domestic Trade at the Central Java Trade Office, explained that the subsidized fertilizer allocation is now tailored to meet local farmer needs around distribution points.
"The mechanism, governed by the central government and regularly monitored by relevant authorities, ensures fertilizer availability during the current planting season, providing security for farmers," he said.
Dwi Joko Prihanto, an owner of a subsidized fertilizer kiosk, said that nine farmer groups with around 150 farmers are organized in an e-allocation system for subsidized fertilizer needs.
