Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police inspected the Surakarta–Yogyakarta toll road on Tuesday (18/2/2025) to assess preparation ahead of the 2025 Eid al-Fitr homecoming season.
Central Jawa Police Director of Traffic Senior Superintendent Sonny Irawan said that the inspection was conducted in coordination with the Yogyakarta Regional Police and toll road operators to ensure smooth traffic management during the busy period.
A 30.8-kilometer section of the toll road is expected to be operational for the Eid travel season, including the Prambanan–Purwomartani section, which is still under construction, according to antaranews.com.
Key areas for improvement include the provision of rest areas, functional facilities, toilets, and fuel services. Traffic congestion, especially around Klaten, is also being closely monitored.
“If congestion occurs toward Klaten or Yogyakarta, traffic will be redirected via the Polanharjo toll gate,” Chief Sonny explained.
