Inp.polri.go.id -  Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police Internal Affairs unit detained a local police officer following reports of an alleged assault against a woman in Cirebon, West Java.

Central Java Police Head of Public Public Relations Senior Superintendent Artanto reaffirmed that the institution maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding personnel misconduct.

"The Central Java Police do not tolerate any form of violation committed by members," he said on Friday (3/7/2026). "The Internal Affairs unit immediately conducted an examination, and the individual has been detained... We ensure the entire process is carried out professionally, objectively, transparently, and accountably."

The victim, a 30-year-old woman identified as MAN, officially reported the abuse to the National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency on Thursday. According to her statement, the physical violence had been ongoing since December 2023, stemming from personal disputes. 

While the Criminal Investigation Agency handles the criminal prosecution, the Central Java Police Propam unit immediately placed the police officer,  identified as Assistant First Inspector N, into disciplinary custody to undergo internal ethics investigations.
