Central Java Regional Police Assures Security Ahead Voting Day

inp.polri.go.id - The Central Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi says the situation in the province a week prior the election day remains conducive. “Until now, everything remains under control, there are no significant disturbances in the public. The election campaign will be over on February 10th, 2024 and will be continued with dismantling election props,” says Ahmad. Furthermore, around 22 thousand joint personnel of military and police will be spread across the province to secure 117,299 polling stations. The police also have already mapped 9 vulnerable polling stations and 549 prone polling stations. Ahmad also reminds that the dismantling election props will not involving military and police parties to avoid misperception. Meanwhile, the Regional Military Commander of Diponegoro IV, Major General Tandyo Budi is ready to give his full support in maintaining conducive and comfortable situation in the area. According to him, there are 3,571 reserve personnel prepared in case of emergency situation. There are also 3,732 military members deployed to each police sectors in Central Java. (ad/rz/hn/nm)
