Central Java Regional Police Exposing Minors Trafficking Practices

inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police succeeded in exposing the practice of trafficking underage children who were sold to a karaoke place in Tegal City. Direskrimum Central Java Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Duhandhani in a press release in Semarang, Wednesday (09/08), said three perpetrators were arrested in the disclosure of the crime of child trafficking. The Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Central Java Regional Police explained that the disclosure began with information about the whereabouts of minors who worked at a karaoke place located in the Mintaragam Rice Market complex, Tegal City. "During the inspection, it was found that three children aged 14 and 17 were employed at the karaoke place," he explained. The three children came from West Java. Three karaoke employees, he continued, were also arrested in the disclosure of the case. The three employees each had the initials ES (32) residents of Tegal City, ST (23) residents of Cirebon Regency, and SHN (21) residents of Bandung City. The suspects play a role in finding victims who will be sold at the karaoke place. Together with the suspects, evidence of room bills and "booking orders" for the three victims were secured. For their actions, the three perpetrators were charged with Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.
