inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police paid particular attention to the active confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Klaten Regency, which are still high. As a result, the Central Java Regional Police implemented contingency management for handling Covid-19 in the City of Shine starting Saturday (07/24/21).
Central Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. General Inspector Ahmad Luthfi explained that the move was motivated by the very high number of active confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Klaten Regency.
Together with the High-rank officers of the Central Java Regional Police, the Regional Police Chief immediately gave a briefing and evaluation of the handling of Covid-19.
"It should be noted that the Regent and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Klaten Regency have worked optimally in dealing with the high number of Covid-19 cases. The Regional Police here will help so that the handling is more optimal so that it can suppress active cases," explained The Two-Star General.
Pol. General Inspector Ahmad Luthfi said the main focus in handling Covid-19 was public health. Therefore, every citizen confirmed to have Covid-19 must follow centralized isolation to break the chain of transmission through close contact.
"Don't be afraid, and the Regency Government has provided a centralized isolation place. Two weeks of isolation, treated, hope to return home in good health. If you can self-isolate at home, that's okay," said the Pol. General Inspector Ahmad Lutfi.
According to the Klaten Health Service data, the number of active confirmed cases is 4,658 from a cumulative number of 25,899 verified people. At the same time, the recovery rate reached 19,526 people. The high recovery rate and the newly confirmed number have become the basis for contingency management applied in handling Covid-19 in Klaten.
