Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral social media post claiming President Prabowo Subianto designated 30 September as a national public holiday to commemorate the 1965 G30S/PKI event has been confirmed as fake news (hoax).

The misleading claims circulated on Facebook, asserting that the date had been officially added to the national calendar. Fact-checking reports confirmed that no credible news or official decree supports the assertion.

The Joint Decree (SKB) of Three Ministers regarding National Holidays and Collective Leave for 2026 officially outlines all recognized public holidays and collective leave days throughout the year 2026. The official schedule does not list 30 September as a national holiday or collective leave day.

The circulating narrative regarding President Prabowo Subianto declaring a September 30 holiday is therefore false and misleading. The public is advised to verify holiday schedules through official government communications and refrain from sharing unverified calendar information online.
