Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs and the Indonesian National Police (INP) have formalized a strategic partnership to accelerate the investigation and prosecution of cyber-enabled crimes, including online gambling and digital fraud.
"We are streamlining our coordination to ensure that public reports of digital crimes are handled with urgency, moving away from slow bureaucratic processes toward real-time enforcement," said Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid during a meeting on Monday (13/4/2026), as reported by antaranews.com.
INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo announced that a specialized joint task force will be established to provide an optimal response to economic crimes in the digital space, such as sextortion and financial scams.
This collaboration also includes a nationwide educational initiative to promote the 110 emergency call center, ensuring citizens know where to turn for immediate assistance. By integrating technical surveillance from the Ministry with the investigative authority of the police, the government aims to mitigate the rising impact of cyber-narratives and digital threats on the national economy.
