Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) Anti-Terrorism Squad and with the Central Sulawesi Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) arrested three suspected terrorism operatives in Central Sulawesi on Friday evening (2/1//2026).
Two suspects were arrested in North Tomoli Village, Toribulu District, Parigi Moutong Regency, while the third suspect was secured in Poso Regency. North Tomoli Village Secretary Muhlis confirmed the arrests in his village, noting that the two men had resided locally since 2015 while working as cocoa farmers, though they remained closed-off from neighborly interaction and had never officially registered their residency status.
The joint counterterrorism operation forms part of ongoing investigation and enforcement efforts aimed at dismantling terror networks in the region. The three suspects were taken into Densus 88 custody for intensive interrogation as investigators work to determine their specific roles and network affiliations.
