inp.polri.go.id - Banten. The Banten Regional Police distributed social assistance worth IDR 250 million to communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The event took place at the Banten Regional Police Field on Thursday (8/20/2026).
On the occasion, Banten Regional Police Chief Inspector General Hengki explained that the assistance was handed over by the Banten Regional Police's Finance Division to be transferred to the NTT Regional Police.
"The aid is being distributed through a transfer mechanism so that the needs of the earthquake-affected community can be met more effectively and efficiently. This aid will be used to meet the priority needs of the disaster-affected community and spent within the NTT region," he explained.
Furthermore, Hengki stated that the Banten Regional Police have coordinated with the NTT Regional Police to ensure that the assistance provided is tailored to the needs of the affected communities.
"This activity is a manifestation of concern and solidarity for our brothers and sisters in NTT who are facing the natural disaster," he said.
Hengki invited the entire community to join in praying for and providing support to residents affected by the earthquake.
"Let's pray together and provide support to our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara," he concluded.
