inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), Rano Alfath, appreciated the quick steps of the South Tangerang Sub-regional Metro Police in arresting two thugs who crashed into a kindergarten drum band practice in Permata Pamulang.
Rano emphasized that the police's swift response is very important to maintain a sense of security in the community.
“I truly appreciate the fast response of South Tangerang Sub-regional Police who immediately arrested the two thugs. This is a stern action by the police that indeed should have done so people would be free from thuggery in the streets,” says Rano in his statement on Sunday (2/16/2025).
Rano also asked the police to further investigate whether the perpetrators were part of a particular organization. He is concerned that this kind of action is not an isolated incident, but part of a larger pattern.
He furthermore urged that police have to strengthen their patrol in vulnerable sports to prevent similar incidents.
Rano emphasized that his party will continue to monitor this issue and support the police's steps in eradicating thuggery. He also invited the public to actively report if they experience or witness similar incidents so that the authorities can act more quickly.
