inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate has uncovered a drug trafficking case in South Jakarta. A man identified as J (30) was arrested while guarding his drug wares camouflaged as selling plastic.
Head of Unit 4, Sub-Directorate 3, Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate, Police Senior Inspector Rumangga, explained that 1,255 tramadol tablets, 1,340 heximer tablets, 106 1 mg alprazolam calmlet tablets, 1,694 trihex tablets, a cell phone, and IDR 11 million in proceeds from the sale were confiscated from the location.
He stated that the investigation stemmed from information from the public regarding illegal drug trafficking activity in the area.
"We have apprehended one perpetrator identified as J and 4,395 psychotropic pills, a dangerous drug without a distribution permit, in Jagakarsa," said Rumangga on Monday (1/19/2026).
Currently, he said, the evidence and the suspect have been taken to the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police HQ for further examination and investigation.
"We are still developing this case," he said.
