Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. Coinciding with National Children's Day, the Women and Children Protection and Anti-Human Trafficking Directorate of the East Java Regional Police urged all societal elements to strengthen child protection against violence, exploitation, bullying, human trafficking, and digital threats.

Carrying the theme "Semangat Jogo Jawa Timur, Lindungi Anak Menuju Indonesia Emas" (Spirit of Guarding East Java, Protect Children Towards Golden Indonesia), Director of the Women and Children Protection and Anti-Human Trafficking, Senior Superintendent Dr. Ganis Setyaningrum, emphasized that children are the nation's greatest asset and investment toward Indonesia Emas 2045.

"Children are a trust and the greatest investment for Indonesia's future. They have the right to protection from all forms of violence, exploitation, human trafficking, bullying, discrimination, and cybercrime," she said on Tuesday (28/7/2026).

She emphasized that the spirit of guarding East Java extends beyond law enforcement to creating safe, nurturing environments across families, schools, and local communities. Child protection, Chief Ganis noted, requires collaborative action from parents, educators, community leaders, media, and government institutions alike.

Alongside preventive educational initiatives, the Directorate of the Women and Children Protection and Anti-Human Trafficking committed to maintaining professional, humanistic, and fair law enforcement regarding crimes involving women and children.

Addressing children directly, Chief Ganis encouraged young people to speak up without fear if they encounter or experience harm, assuring them of state protection and support.
