inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. East Java Regional Police involves experts to investigate a car accident involving Vanessa Angel in Jombang-Mojokerto toll road.

Director of Traffic Corps of East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Latif Usman, said that Police and experts would analyse the interrogation results and other evidence in the said accident on Monday (8/11/21).

"What we have got is that the driver tested negative for drugs usage by the Drugs Investigation Directorate of East Java Regional Police. This becomes our benchmark", he said.

For further investigation related to the cause of the accident, according to Police Grand Commissioner Latif Usman, the investigators would dig deeper into that.

The Director of Traffic Corps of East Java Regional Police admitted that Police had gathered much information, such as from the social media status of the driver, Tubagus Muhammad Joddy Prames Setya.

"What we have known this far is the driver's lost concentration. We will dig deeper into this 'lost concentration' from the crime scene investigation that we have conducted. We will fully assist on what the investigators from the Traffic Corps of Jombang Departmental Police have done", he said.

On the same occasion, he affirmed his commitment to finishing the accident that killed Vanessa Angel and his husband. "We will conduct our duty as best as possible", he said.

Meanwhile, Chief of Profession and Security Agency of East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Taufik Herdiansyah Zeinardi, said that Police would observe the investigation of the accident. "The Traffic Corps Directorate and we would keep this investigation to be flawless, either from the procedures or other technical things", he explained.
