"This package will maintain people's purchasing power and encourage household consumption which has been the driving force for the Indonesian economy," Abdul said in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (6/3/2025) as quoted from Antaranews.

In addition, he said, the five incentive packages worth IDR 24.44 trillion are considered appropriate for the government to provide in response to ongoing global economic pressures.

He further said that the five incentive packages that focus on social assistance, public transportation incentives, and wage subsidy adjustments show that the government is trying to maintain a balance between social protection and economic recovery.

According to him, this approach can be a medium-term strategy to maintain social stability while boosting real economic activity.

"This stimulus is not just a short-term fiscal injection, but part of an effort to maintain sustainable growth momentum, especially amidst global uncertainty," he said.

However, he reminded the government to pay attention to the accuracy in distributing the incentive package.

Abdul views that the success of the policy is largely determined by the accuracy of the targets and the efficiency of implementation in the field.

He also reminded the government that cross-ministerial synergy is needed in formulating the five incentive packages so that fiscal policy does not run partially, but is integrated into the framework of national economic recovery.
