Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati led the 11th meeting of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action (CFMCA) in pursuit of Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets.

She chaired the meeting alongside Dutch Finance Minister Steven van Weyenberg, as reported by antaranews.com.

"The role of finance ministers is crucial in meeting each country's NDC targets," Minister Sri Mulyani said in a statement on Friday (19/4/2024).

Three discussion topics were addressed during the meeting: enhancing the role of finance ministries in supporting NDC implementation, phasing out environmentally harmful subsidies, and mobilizing the global market to finance transitions.

The meeting provided a vital platform for finance ministers to share experiences and best practices, including with the Ministry of Environment as the National Focal Point for UNFCCC in their respective countries.

Minister Sri Mulyani attended the IMF Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., and delivered a keynote speech at the High-Level Event at the Brookings Institution, Washington, D.C.
