"I am ending my duties as Chairman of the KPK, and I declare my resignation, and I also declare that I do not wish to extend my term of office," he said.
Firli said his resignation had been submitted to President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo through State Secretary Pratikno as well as to the KPK leadership and Supervisory Board, antaranews.com reported.
He said his resignation after 4 years of service as KPK leader was for the sake of national stability ahead of the 2024 political year.
