The General Elections Commission (KPU) Jakarta has identified a significant lack of understanding among first-time voters about the 2024 elections, Astri Megatari, a member of KPU Jakarta said on Monday (16/11/23). She pointed to high school and university students who were mainly confused about the elections process. "On average, they are uncertain about the specific ballots for the 2024 elections," Astri said. Jakarta is set to conduct four elections, namely the presidential election and the legislative election, the House of Representatives election, provincial legislative council election, and the Regional Representative Council election. Astri assured that the KPU Jakarta will continue to disseminate information in the lead-up to the election scheduled for February 14, 2024 to educational institutions, campuses, communities, as well as various community organizations in Jakarta.
