inp.polri.go.id - Pekanbaru. Riau Regional Police Women visited coastal residents in the Duku River area, Tanjung Rhu Village, Lima Puluh District, Pekanbaru City for "Jalur" (Jelajah Riau untuk Rakyat) program, where they distributed basic supplies and medical assistance.
The event, held on Friday (9/18/2026), was not merely a ceremony to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the Riau Policewomen, but rather a concrete effort in providing the community in need.
Held in neighborhood unit (RT) 03/RW 07, Tanjung Datuk Road, Ujung Sungai Duku, the policewomen provided social assistance and free healthcare services at the Floating Clinic. The activity was a cross-unit collaboration involving the Riau Policewomen's of Water Unit Directorate, Medical and Health Division, and the Directorate of Community Development.
During this social activity, a joint team of Riau Regional Policewomen distributed 50 food supplies to coastal communities in need. This assistance is expected to alleviate residents' daily needs while strengthening the police's social awareness.
In addition to food aid, the personnel also distributed mango tree seedlings as part of an effort to support reforestation and preserve the environment around residential areas.
The activity was enthusiastically received by the local community. People took advantage of the Floating Clinic to receive free health check-ups.
Through this health service, residents received free check-ups, vitamins, and medications as needed, provided by the medical team.
The Director of the Riau Regional Police's Water Unit, Senior Superintendent Apri Fajar Hermanto, explained that this year's JALUR Program has a unique nuance, as it is being held to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Riau Regional Policewomen in 2026.
"This JALUR Program is different from usual. In commemoration of the 78th anniversary of Riau Regional Policewomen in 2026., this activity is being carried out directly by female police officers," he explained.
He added that this cross-unit collaboration is part of an effort to bring police services closer to the community.
Through this JALUR Program, the Riau Regional Police hopes to strengthen the relationship and communication between the police and coastal communities. In addition to supporting residents' economic needs, this activity also demonstrates their commitment to improving public health in the Pekanbaru waters.
