inp.polri.go.id - The Regional Police of Central Java (Polda Jateng) stated there are 34,677 traffic violations recorded by cameras within a week of the Operation Patuh Candi 2022.
Tens of thousands of traffic violators were recorded by ETLE Mobile and Statis cameras that were spread over several points in 35 Regencies and Cities in Central Java.
The Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of Polda Jateng, Commissioner Agus Suryo Nugroho said that of the 34,677 traffic violators recorded by ETLE, 29,621 violations have been validated, ranging from not wearing a helmet, expired license plate taxes, carrying more than one passenger in a motorbike, not wearing a seat belt, crossing a red light, and going against the flow.
“For a week, since June 13 to June 17, our ETLE cameras recorded 34,677 traffic violations. Of this number, 29,621 violations were validated, ranging from not wearing an SNI helmet, carrying more than one passenger in a motorbike, going against the traffic flow,the taxes of license plates already expired, and crossing a red light," said Commissioner Agus Suryo Nugroho at the Central Java Police Headquarters, Sunday (19/06/22).
He stated that the police has immediately sent the fine to traffic violator’s home address which was validated by the ETLE camera. The letter is accompanied by a photo, a proof of violation,
“We immediately sent them a ‘love letter’ to those violators. The violators will find the content of the ‘love letter’ contained with a photo, a proof of their violations on the road. So we have our own courier system to handle this letter sending so the process will be fast. There are 29,055 letters that has been sent by them,” said the Central Java Police Intermediate Officer.
Traffic law enforcement in Central Java with the ETLE camera, which has been implemented since last January, has succeeded in increasing state revenue by 114%, which comes from motor vehicle tax fines and ticket fines.
