inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. Joint personnel continue to carry out efforts to combat forest and land fires in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. One of the measures implemented is the use of Formula X-Fire to help accelerate the cooling process in areas difficult to reach by vehicles.
Members of the South Sumatra Regional Police Task Force are using Formula X-Fire to combat forest and land fires in the Sungai Rambutan area, Semambu Island, Ogan Ilir Regency. The cooling process has been underway since Thursday (9/17/2026).
The Regional Head of Operations Aman Nusa II, Senior Superintendent Ridwan Raja Dewa, stated in Palembang on Friday (9/18/2026) that the formula is used to optimize the cooling of semi-peatland areas that are difficult to reach by vehicles.
In this effort, officers and the joint team successfully cooled an area of 10 hectares. This process was carried out amidst quite difficult terrain.
Officers faced several obstacles in the field, ranging from the characteristics of the semi-peatland, drying gelam shrubs, to limited water sources and access to the location.
To reach difficult-to-reach areas, the team used a portable pump and 10 jerrycans of water mixed with a special X-Fire liquid, code 01.
According to them, the use of the X-Fire formula significantly contributed to the efficiency of extinguishing the semi-peat swamp area.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Nandang Mu'min Wijaya, expressed his appreciation for the strong collaboration between the police, military, and related agencies in securing the environment from the threat of forest and land fires.
