inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) officially began the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, today on Monday, January 6th, 2025. Officials state that the first priority of the program is students.

Head of the Indonesian Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi stated that his party hopes that the target of 937 MBG kitchens can be achieved by the end of January 2025, and eventually reach 5,000 by the end of 2025. With the thousands of kitchens developed, they will be able to serve up to 20 million beneficiaries, ranging from playground-high school students, toddlers, pregnant women, to breastfeeding mothers.

“A total of 190 MBG kitchens are ready to serve, which spreads into 26 provinces, including Aceh, Bali, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, Riau Island, Riau, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, Yogyakarta, and Gorontalo,” says Hasan on Monday (1/6/2024).

According to the latest information, several ministers and public officials are to visit and review the implementation of the MBG program on its first day.
