Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The government plans to form an integrated task force to eradicate online gambling. The formation was based on the instruction of President Jokowi during a meeting with several government officials.

“This week will be determined on steps forming the integrated task force for online gambling eradication,” said Minister of Communication and Informatics, Budi Arie Setiadi on Thursday (4/18/2024).

Minister Budi says that the President is aware that there are still many others who complain about online gambling. Even the cash flow for online gambling reportedly reached IDR 327 billion in 2023.

Budi explains that the task force will synchronize the take down action by the Communication and Informatics Ministry, the account banned by OJK, and collaboration with the law enforcement.
