Government Predicts Traffic Peak on December Holidays

inp.polri.go.id - The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, says the peak of traffic during Christmas and New Year Eve are predicted to fall on 23-24 December. While the return flow would be on 25-26 December. “While the peak for New Year holiday predicted to be on 30-31 December 2022, while its return flow would be on 1-2 January, 2023,” says Muhadjir quoted from cnnindonesian.com, Monday (12/19). He says there will be around 44 million of people that will spend their holidays on Christmas and New Year Eve. He will ensure that all security apparatus would be ready to anticipate and control the mass movement of people during December Holidays. The Indonesian President Joko Widodo have ordered security officials to facilitate the people who would spend their holidays during Christmas and New Year Eve Meanwhile, the Indonesian National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo have prepared more than 101,000 personnel. Police will also be assisted by several related institutions to secure 2022’s last holidays.
