inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Politics, Law and Security is currently designing a reporting system for extremist acts that lead to terrorism.

Assistant Deputy for Human Rights Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Ruly Chandrayadimen, assessed that a reporting system is needed because until now the government does not have the proper medium for reporting the extremist acts that lead to terrorism.

"There is no reporting system that is integrated with the protection mechanism for witnesses, victims, and reporters. This is hampered by the absence of regulations that serve as a legal basis," said Assistant Deputy Ruly on Friday (10/18/2024).

In fact, said Ruly, a special reporting forum is very much needed so that the government can handle acts of terrorism quickly.

"The contents are in accordance with the mandate of the president through Presidential Regulation Number 7 of 2021 concerning the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Handling of Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism in 2020-2024," said Assistant Deputy Ruly.
