inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Agrarian Reform Agency (BRAN) immediately moved swiftly to strengthen its institutional foundations. This major step was taken to address the public's demands for legal certainty, justice, and prosperity on their land.
This strategy was finalized during a Coordination Meeting on the Synchronization of Authority between BRAN and the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/6/2026).
This crucial meeting was attended by the Head of BRAN, Dedi Prasetyo, along with the Director General of Agrarian Planning at ATR/BPN. This forum served as a crucial platform for aligning work frequencies to eliminate sectoral egos in managing community land issues.
During the meeting, General Dedi Prasetyo frankly discussed the series of agrarian conflicts faced by ATR/BPN. He argued that past experience demonstrates that the boundaries of authority between institutions must be clear from the outset.
He emphasized that BRAN was not created to be a "rival" or take over the duties of existing ministries.
Instead, BRAN serves as a bridge, orchestrating the resolution of complex land cases involving multiple agencies.
Meanwhile, the ATR/BPN will remain fully focused on land administration functions.
"The public needs certainty, and the state is obligated to be present. People shouldn't have to worry about complicated bureaucracy or the division of authority between agencies. What they want is for the state to immediately provide a solution when a land problem arises," Dedi emphasized.
The former Vice Chief of INP also emphasized that the success of Agrarian Reform should not be measured solely on paper. According to Dedi, the success of this program goes beyond showing off the number of land areas or the number of documents signed.
"The effects must be felt directly in people's pockets and in their lives," he explained.
Through asset management, people do gain legal certainty through certificates. But equally important is managing access.
BRAN wants to ensure that people's land remains productive through cross-sector collaboration to provide business capital, technology, mentoring, and access to markets for agricultural products, BRAN will launch the One Data Agrarian program to cut through bureaucratic red tape and eradicate land mafias.
This single, integrated database system will map land status transparently.
With accurate and objective data, the government can detect the roots of conflicts more quickly and prevent new disputes from arising in the future.
