Help Handling the Semeru Disaster, Central Java Regional Police Dispatch a Multifunctional Joint Team

The Central Java Regional Police again sent additional personnel to assist in handling the impact of the disaster and identifying victims of the Mount Semeru eruption in Lumajang, East Java. Central Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Ahmad Luthfi explained that his staff sent 85 police personnel from several units, including 30 female police officers, to assist in handling victims affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. He said the statement when he released the Central Java Regional Police Team to Care for the Eruption of Mount Semeru at the Central Java Regional Police Headquarters yard, Monday (12/13/21). The Central Java Regional Police Chief said that from the personnel sent, a team acting as trauma healing officers for victims of the Semeru eruption. Both for child victims, as well as parents in refugee camps. According to Two-Star General, apart from sending National Police personnel to the refugee camps, his party also sent goods in the form of toys for children affected by the Semeru eruption in the refugee camps. "We will strengthen the Central Java Regional Police with platoon team ties, including trauma healing and also treatment. So, we also send medicines and toys which we will later use to our affected communities. Especially children and the elderly. This includes the ties of the Mobile Brigade team, which will include task forces whose sub-Mobile Brigade of Central Java Regional Police will carry out humanitarian activities there," said the former Surakarta Resort Departemental Police Chief. Pol. Inspector-General Ahmad Luthfi explained that the dispatch of personnel to Lumajang, East Java was part of the Central Java Regional Police's Safe Nusa II Operation to overcome the disaster.
