Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps introduced a digital driver’s license (SIM digital) to simplify public access and modernize services to allow drivers to store their license securely on smartphones, reducing worries about forgetting or losing the physical card.
To obtain a digital SIM, users must download the Digital Korlantas app from the App Store or Play Store. Registration involves identity verification to ensure account security. Once verified, users enter their SIM number, and the system automatically syncs data with Korlantas’ database.
“After installing, select SIM, input your SIM number, and wait for verification,” explained Brigadier General Wibowo, the Director of Registration and Identification.
The app supports multiple SIM categories, enabling users to store SIM A, SIM C, or others in one account. This feature benefits drivers with more than one license type.
Digital SIMs are legally valid and can be shown to officers during checks. The system ensures authenticity and provides convenience, aligning with Polri’s digital transformation goals.
