inp.polri.go.id - Badung. The 26th International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Conference in Bali, held from September 20–24, 2026, proceeded safely, smoothly, and conducively. The Bali Regional Police ensured that the entire series of international events proceeded without any major incidents.
Bali Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Daniel, stated that the 2026 IAWP was one of a series of international events secured by the Bali Regional Police throughout 2026. He stated that this was the fourth international event secured by the Bali Regional Police this year.
"The 26th IAWP, currently being held in Bali, is the fourth international event we are securing in 2026. The event runs from September 20–24, 2026," said Daniel.
As the security force, the Bali Regional Police ensured that all events, from welcoming participants and securing the routes to the implementation of events at various locations, proceeded according to plan.
"As the party responsible for the security of these activities, we implemented security measures, from the welcoming ceremony to the route, to events at several locations. In the past four days, there have been no significant reports or incidents. Everything has run smoothly, conducively, and safely," he said.
Besides serving as a forum for policewomen from various countries to share experiences, IAWP 2026 also serves as an opportunity to strengthen relationships and build international police cooperation networks. Participants can get to know each other, including understanding the culture and characteristics of police forces in each country.
"The 26th IAWP provides a means of fostering camaraderie and a platform for us to get to know each other directly, from each policewoman and from each country. We can get to know them, their culture, and their police forces," said Daniel.
He added that international cooperation is becoming increasingly important as crime transcends borders. Therefore, forums like IAWP are considered to strengthen collaboration between police forces and enhance the role of policewomen in addressing the dynamics of security disturbances and crime.
According to her, the presence of policewomen from various countries at IAWP 2026 also serves as an encouragement for female police personnel to continue developing their capacities and careers.
