Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Immigration inspected 2,022 foreigners during a two-day “Wira Waspada” operation conducted across 2,098 locations between 15 to 17 July 2025.
“The foreigners inspected included 1,143 from China, 156 from South Korea, 81 from Japan, 74 from India, and 71 from Malaysia,” said Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman in a press release on Saturday (19/7/2025), as reported by antaranewslcom.
The operation found 294 foreigners suspected of violating immigration rules. Offenses included 148 cases of visa misuse, 34 cases of failure to present documentation, 29 cases of overstaying, and 24 cases of false addresses or unregistered moves. Eight were found using fake sponsors.
Their immigration status varied, consisting of 1,581 held limited stay permits, 326 had visit visas, while others included permanent residents, asylum seekers, illegal immigrants, and 16 without any permit.
Suspected violators are under investigation. Administrative violators face immigration sanctions, while criminal suspects will be referred to law enforcement.
