Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The Indonesian Air Force and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) have initiated a strategic partnership in military intelligence to bolster air defense capabilities for both nations.
During a meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday (27/11/2024), Air Vice Marshal Benedictus Benny, the Assistant for Intelligence to the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, and Colonel Kanuzori Saito, the Director of the Intelligence Division of JASDF, discussed key topics related to intelligence and air defense.
The discussions were described as constructive and concluded with an exchange of plaques to symbolize the cooperation, according to antaranews.com.
Chief Beny emphasized that strengthening intelligence is vital for enhancing national air defense, noting that this collaboration could pave the way for broader military cooperation between Indonesia and Japan.
The bilateral initiative builds on the Air Force’s efforts to improve intelligence capabilities, including the recently held "Process Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) Basic Training training to enhance skills in data collection, interpretation, and strategic decision-making.
