Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. As the 2026 Hajj season concludes, Indonesia’s Satgas Haji reinforced protection for pilgrims through enhanced coordination with Saudi Arabia’s Presidency of State Security (PSS).
Indonesian National Police (INP) Police Chief Commisisoner General. Dedi Prasetyo met Brigadier General Muhammad Al Qohtoni in Jeddah on Monday (1/6/2026) to discuss governance, security, and service improvements. Both sides agreed to strengthen communication, information exchange, and technology use to safeguard pilgrims.
“Evaluating this year’s Hajj provides valuable lessons. Stronger coordination and technology integration are key to protecting pilgrims,” said INP Public Relations Head of Public Relations Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir.
He highlighted Indonesia’s role as the largest Hajj contingent, requiring robust systems to prevent fraud and ensure safety.
The Hajj Task Force reported handling 29 police cases and 30 intelligence reports involving 26 suspects, with losses exceeding Rp 21.7 billion.
