inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Manpower Desk, along with the Ministry of Manpower, successfully facilitated the resolution of an industrial relations dispute between PT Amos Indah Indonesia and 134 former workers.
The settlement resulted in an agreement to pay compensation for termination of employment totaling Rp 12.7 billion.
Vice Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor, stated that the settlement was the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Manpower and the INP Manpower Desk, along with the company and the workers' union.
"Within two to three weeks, the Ministry of Manpower and the INP Manpower Desk, along with the management of PT AMOS and its workers' union, sat down and agreed on the union's demands," Afriansyah said during a Doorstop meeting in the first-floor lobby of the Awaloedin Djamin Building, Jakarta, Thursday (7/23/2026).
Afriansyah explained that the issue stemmed from the layoffs of 134 workers in March 2026. The workers then challenged the layoffs and demanded payment of their rights in accordance with their length of service and applicable regulations.
The dispute was then followed up through a mediation process involving the Ministry of Manpower and the INP's Manpower Desk. After several rounds of negotiations, the two parties finally agreed on a settlement in the form of severance payments to the 134 laid-off workers.
"So, the 134 workers were still dismissed, and they were given IDR 12.7 billion for each of the 134 workers, with variations based on their length of service," Afriansyah said.
He added that the entire IDR 12.7 billion in compensation had been paid by the company and distributed to the 134 workers as agreed.
Afriansyah expressed his appreciation for the role of INP's Manpower Desk in overseeing the dispute resolution process in a wise and prudent manner.
"We are truly grateful for the assistance provided by the Manpower Desk because our colleagues from the police have been very prudent in their oversight, and management has also agreed to provide the severance pay demanded by the workers," he said.
He believes that collaboration between the Ministry of Manpower and INP's Manpower Desk is essential given Indonesia's vast territory and the numerous industries spread across various regions. This collaboration is expected to help resolve various employment issues while maintaining a conducive investment climate and industrial relations.
