The Indonesian National Police (INP) has appointed Brigadier General Aan Suhanan, the Law Enforcement Director of INP Traffic Corps, as the Acting Head of INP Traffic Corps, effective from Friday (1/12/23). Inspector General Prof. Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, Chief of the INP Assistant for Human Resources, confirmed the appointment, saying, "Yes, Brigadier General Aan has been appointed as the daily Acting Head of the INP Traffic Corps starting today." This decision signified a transitional phase following Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi's resignation, as he handed over the position to the Chief of INP Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, on Thursday (30/11/2023), antaranews.com reported. Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, Head of the Public Information Bureau of the INP Public Relations Division, explained that Firman Shantyabudi is scheduled to retire this month upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 58, in accordance with police regulations.
