inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) are strengthening coordination in handling criminal cases, from the investigation stage to prosecution.

This step is being taken to ensure effective law enforcement, provide legal certainty, and deliver justice to the public.

This commitment was highlighted during a meeting between INP Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin at the AGO Main Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/14/2026).

During the meeting, the Attorney General emphasized that the quality of investigations is a crucial factor in determining the success of the prosecution process, leading to a court verdict. Therefore, coordination between Polri investigators and public prosecutors must be continuously strengthened.

"We always say that good investigations will result in good prosecutions, and good prosecutions will result in good verdicts, and this is for the sake of public justice," he said.

According to Burhanuddin, investigators and public prosecutors are inseparable parts of the criminal justice system.

Both parties need to establish good communication and coordination so that each case can be handled optimally in accordance with legal provisions.

In line with this, INP Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto emphasized the importance of strengthening the working relationship between INP and the Attorney General's Office, not only at the central level but also at the regional level.

Suyudi ensured that INP will continue to support the implementation of the Attorney General's Office's duties, including in security aspects, as stipulated in the memorandum of understanding agreed upon by the two institutions.

He hopes that a more solid coordination will expedite case handling, strengthen legal certainty, and ensure that the judicial process runs according to applicable regulations.
