The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized the importance of solidarity and unity between the Indonesian National Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) in facing various global challenges while maintaining national security stability.

General Sigit stated that Ramadan provides an opportunity to strengthen ties and synergy between the two security institutions in addressing various national issues.

"We hope this momentum will further strengthen our ties and cooperation in facing various national issues and challenges that require solidarity and unity," said General Sigit, Wednesday (3/11/2026).

He also highlighted the unstable global geopolitical dynamics, such as the conflicts in the Middle East, which have led to escalating international tensions.

Sigit noted that these conflicts in several countries have resulted in a large number of civilian casualties and triggered military escalation in the region. According to him, this situation could have a broad impact on the global situation.

"Any war will have extraordinary effects because it affects civilians and civilian installations, giving rise to humanitarian, economic, and even social crises," he said.

General Sigit added that geopolitical tensions also have the potential to impact global economic conditions, including global oil prices. He said that a surge in global oil prices could impact the country's fiscal capacity and potentially trigger inflation if not controlled.

According to Sigit, global stability and international diplomatic efforts are crucial to curbing conflict and preventing it from escalating and impacting the global economy. 

Amid these global dynamics, General Sigit emphasized the importance of strengthening national independence, as emphasized by President Prabowo Subianto. 

Sigit said that the government is currently promoting various national strategic programs, particularly in the food security and energy security sectors, so that Indonesia can stand on its own two feet.
