Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesian National  Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo led the groundbreaking ceremony of 29 nutrition service unit (SPPG) kitchens across North Sumatra on Friday (11/7/2025), supporting the government’s Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.

“We are committed to support MBG, which greatly benefits our children—from pregnancy, early childhood, to high school,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

In total, North Sumatra now has 36 kitchens, consisting of 2 operational, 5 under verification, and 29 in development.

Chief Sigit emphasized the importance of ensuring high-quality implementation—from ingredients and cooking to food distribution—so that beneficiaries truly feel the impact.

“The most important thing is that recipients actually benefit. Food safety must be strictly ensured during preparation and delivery,” he said, noting the initiative’s broader economic impact by creating job opportunities in the local communities.
