Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has proposed that the late Meriyati Roeslani Hoegeng be posthumously awarded the Bintang Bhayangkara Utama. 

Speaking after her funeral at Giri Tama Cemetery in Bogor on Wednesday (4/2/2026),he said that the honor recognizes her lifelong dedication to preserving the moral integrity and ethical standards of the INP.

"Because of her service, the INP is petitioning the President to grant her the Bintang Bhayangkara Utama. This is a form of respect from both the State and the police institution," Chief Sigit said, as cited by antaranews.com.

The widow of the former INP Chief General Hoegeng Iman Santoso was hailed as a "moral compass" who consistently championed honesty and public service. 

Authorities noted that her influence extended far beyond her family, providing spiritual and ethical guidance to the force during times of institutional challenge.
