Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo strengthened security partnerships by launching the "Sabuk Kamtibmas" (Security Belt) initiative in Badung, Bali, on Thursday (16/7/2026).
The community policing program unites traditional Balinese guards (pecalang) and online motorcycle taxi drivers to maintain public order.
Chief Sigit said that these groups serve as strategic partners for early detection and rapid information sharing due to their cultural integration and high mobility across the island.
"Pecalang and the online motorcycle taxi community are strategic partners of the National Police, or the security belt, who play an important role in helping maintain stability," he said.
Chief Sigit drivers to become traffic safety pioneers and actively report security threats, enhancing Balinese safety for residents and international tourists alike.
