Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto urged labor unions demonstrating in front of the House of Representatives (DPR) Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (6/10/2026) to maintain public safety and order while expressing their aspirations.
"While public expression is guaranteed by law, the most important aspect is for all of us to preserve security and order," he told the gathering crowd.
Addressing the demonstrators, theINP Chief congratulated workers on the passage of the Labor Protection Bill into law, noting that President Prabowo Subianto had prioritized its enactment in 2026.
Ahead of the rally, Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed 11,261 officers, including 2,055 traffic officers, to secure the parliamentary area and manage surrounding traffic flow through a communicative and persuasive approach.
