Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The Indonesian National Police (INP)  is committed to map potential election vulnerabilities in polling stations abroad and  prevent intimidation during voting, Inspector General Krishna Murti, the Head of the INP's International Relations Division, on Monday (29/1/2024). "The Election Security Task Force for Overseas Polling Stations is reminded to closely monitor the vulnerability of ballot papers. On election day, it's crucial to acknowledge that the most vulnerable aspect is the ballot papers. The casting process must be conducted directly, publicly, freely, and confidentially," he said. In addition, Chief Krishna highlighted the crucial role of maintaining order and monitoring potential disturbances during overseas elections, emphasizing the need to prevent intimidation and closely monitor minor incidents of unrest. "Focus on the vulnerabilities of ballot papers. Prevent them from becoming a source of problems and fuel for election disputes. These disputes occur every five years and are brought to Jakarta, submitted to the Constitutional Court ," he asserted. (ar/bg/pr/um)
