Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Operations Assistant to the INP Chief Commissioner General Fadil Imran confirmed national security remains stable following the installation of high fencing around several Jakarta shopping malls on Saturday (1/8/2026). 

Dismissing concerns over potential civil unrest, he said that daily operational reporting data shows no prominent security threats across the country.

Chief Fadil clarified that property owners routinely erect perimeter fencing and urged the public not to be misled by alarming security narratives.

"I think people fencing their properties is normal. We should not construct narratives as if erecting a fence means something bad will happen," he said.

Entering August, Chief Fadil noted that Mobile Brigade (Brimob) and patrol units remain on standard daily alert without specialized mobilization. Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo assured business owners that the capital is secure, adding he will request mall managers to remove the temporary fences once conditions remain fully stable.
