Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Joint emergency response forces led by the Indonesian National Police (INP) search and rescue (SAR) units deployed to Arosuka, Gunung Talang District, Solok Regency, following severe flash floods and landslides on Monday night (21/9/2026).

INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Bureau Head Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said that torrential rainfall caused the Batang Laso River to overflow at 7.30 pm local time, triggering landslides from nearby hills that inundated the Solok administration office complex.

In response, the West Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) unit dispatched two company-level from Padang and a platoon from Padang Panjang to support field operations.

Led by Solok Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent Rini Anggraini alongside the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and local military authorities, officers are searching for two missing residents, Dafi Arahman (21) and Agusra (59). 

Four residents sustained injuries, with one severely injured victim transferred to Semen Padang Hospital for emergency treatment.
