INP Determined to Show Transparency and Accountability on Openness Information Public Test

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) will attend the Public Test Monev of Public Information which will be held by the Central Information Commission (KI), on November 13th, 2024.

The Head of INP Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho says as one of the state institutions who played a central role in maintaining public security and order, INP is committed to boost transparency and accountability in carrying out the order.

“This Public Test is a moment for us to show the extent to which the implementation of public information transparency has been carried out in the internal environment. The Police's participation in this Public Test is a form of our commitment to continue to improve performance and increase public trust," explained Sandi on Friday (11/8/2024).

In this Public Test, KI will assess a number of important aspects such as the quality of information conveyed, the type of information opened to the public, facilities and infrastructure that support access to information, the organization's commitment to information openness, and digitalization and innovation efforts in information management.

Sandi said that INP had prepared thoroughly for this Public Test. "We hope to get good results and be an example for other institutions," said Sandi.

Furthermore, the presentation material that will be delivered by the Police at this Public Test will focus on policies and strategies that have been and will be implemented to fulfill the public's right to access public information.

Some of the things that will be highlighted include how the Police's vision and mission relate to the principle of openness of public information.

"Then there is technological innovation, namely the use of information technology to facilitate public access to the information needed, and public services, namely efforts made by the Police to improve the quality of information-based public services," explained the Head of Public Relations.

"Finally, complaint handling, namely the mechanism for handling public complaints related to requests for information," continued Sandi.

He also hopes that this Public Test can be a momentum for the Police to continue to improve the quality of public services and strengthen public trust.
