inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. The 80th Bhayangkara Day celebration reflects the long journey of the Indonesian National Police (INP) in serving the nation and state. For eight decades, INP has continuously transformed into a professional, modern, and adaptive institution, while maintaining the community as its primary focus in carrying out all its duties.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Public Information Bureau of INP, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, on the sidelines of the 80th Bhayangkara Day ceremony in, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, on Wednesday (7/1/2026).
Trunoyudo stated that the 80th anniversary has historical, constitutional, and institutional significance, demonstrating INP's long journey of growth alongside the people.
"Our 80th anniversary showed our very long journey. There are historical, constitutional, and institutional approaches that demonstrate how we continue to develop alongside the people. The meaning of all of this is that the we is truly for the people," Trunoyudo emphasized
According to him, as mandated by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, INP has the duty to maintain public security and order, protect, serve, and enforce the law. This makes security the primary foundation for the sustainability of national development.
"The President also stated that security is the primary capital for development, both in the social and economic contexts, as well as government development programs. Therefore, we will always be at the heart of the community, protecting when they need protection, serving, assisting, and enforcing the law in order to maintain public security and order," he explained.
On the occasion, Trunoyudo also emphasized the ongoing transformation of INP through four main areas initiated by INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo: operational transformation, organizational transformation, public service transformation, and oversight.
This transformation is reinforced through the digitalization of services such as the Polri Super App, the 110 hotline service, and strengthening rapid response to public complaints.
In addition to strengthening public services, INP also continues to support various strategic national programs, such as food security, fulfilling nutritional needs for children, improving the quality of education through the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation, and strengthening international cooperation in handling transnational crime.
According to Trunoyudo, all of these efforts are driven by one goal: improving public trust in the Police institution.
