Inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has set up a field kitchen that opens round the clock to aid residents affected by flooding in Pondok Gede Permai, Bekasi, West Java on Thursday (6/3/2025).

Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, the INP General Supervision Inspector, said that officers responded by providing meals for those impacted, particularly for iftar during Ramadan, following the directive of INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"This mobile field kitchen provides iftar meals for all residents of Pondok Gede Permai and remains open 24 hours," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The field kitchen, operated by Battalion D of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Mobile Brigade, serves approximately 300 meal portions and operates 24 hours a day to assist residents focused on cleaning their homes after the flood.

Police personnel, assisted by local community leaders, distribute the meals directly to those in need. Bekasi’s Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that floods have affected 20 locations across seven districts, including Bekasi Timur, Bekasi Utara, and Pondok Gede.
