“We’ve gathered samples of burnt dust and cables for further analysis as part of the investigation,” said Superintendent Arfan Zulkan Sipayung, the West Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, on Friday (31/1/2025).
The police are currently awaiting results from the forensic lab to determine the fire's cause.

A joint team is combing the area for any remaining victims who may have been trapped or perished in the blaze.
